Tribold Partners With Business Objects to Bring Business Intelligence Leadership to Telecom Product Lifecycle

London, 22 May, 2006 – Tribold, the product lifecycle management software applications provider, today announced that it is partnering with Business Objects(Nasdaq: BOBJ; Euronext Paris ISIN code: FR0004026250 - BOB ), the world's leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, to bring enhanced business intelligence functionality to Tribold’s products. With communications services providers moving towards a retailer model for product management, the combination of Business Objects’ technology and Tribold’s Product Portfolio Manager™ (PPM) will enable customers to gain enhanced business-level reporting and analytics as they undertake more strategic management and monitoring of products through their lifecycle.
Tribold will integrate the BusinessObjects™ XI platform into its Product Portfolio Manager™ software, which considerably reduces time to market for communications products. Specifically, Tribold will continue to incorporate the BusinessObjects XI platform’s tools to support out-of-the-box product reporting and ad-hoc operational reporting such as catalogue, bill of materials, price list and hierarchy information. In addition, Business Objects’ analytics capabilities will be used for intelligence on product profitability, penetration, competitor/predictive analysis and unit costing.
