Tribold Hailed as the 'Switzerland' of Enterprise Product Management by IDC

IDC Flash report provides insight into the value of enterprise product management software

January 17, 2012 - London, UK: Tribold, the world’s leading provider of Enterprise Product Management (EPM) software specifically developed for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), has been reviewed in a recent IDC report: ‘Tribold: A Pure Product Catalog – Just What CSPs Need to Deploy Today to Support Tomorrow’s New Services’.

The report provides insight into the value of enterprise product management software for CSPs. The report’s author, Debra Osswald, argues that, by investing now, CSPs can optimize their future potential for improved service innovation for new service types like cloud and M2M. In addition, they can shorten time to market for these services and potentially increase their ability to drive profitable revenue growth and improve market share with lower operational costs and better business agility and flexibility, thus enabling the CSP to better respond to new market demands.

The report describes Tribold, as a pureplay enterprise product management (EPM) software vendor. Osswald claims that Tribold's approach is different as it approaches the product catalog problem with a clean slate and no predisposition to support any particular vendor's data models. In the report Osswald says: “It's the Switzerland of enterprise product management software, and CRM, billing, inventory, and order management systems of all nations are treated equally. It can sit on top of an IN/prepaid system or support multiple fulfillment stacks.”
