Appointment of Chief Finance Officer empowers Tribold operations in readiness for global expansion
18 September 2006
UK-based product management software applications provider Tribold has appointed Steve Bennetts as Chief Finance Officer (CFO), fulfilling a crucial component in the company’s global growth strategy. The appointment enables Tribold to further push across key regions, in particular North America and means the company is well placed for future financing. Steve will be responsible for running the general administration function (finance, human resources, legal and ICT) within Tribold.
Previous to his appointment at Tribold, Steve was CFO at Nexagent - an IP network software and service automation provider - where he enjoyed success in raising financing rounds during adverse market conditions. One of these is believed to have been the largest European technology early stage funding round of 2003.
Prior to Nexagent Steve was CFO at Categoric, an infrastructure software specialist and Content Technologies, an e-Security vendor, where he negotiated the company’s sale for approximately $1bn, one of the largest all-European software mergers. A former Amazon.com executive, Steve played a pivotal role in growing the company in the UK and Germany from being a start-up to a $300m annual turnover business.
“Tribold is a company that understands the needs of today’s communications service providers (CSPs). Customers want a myriad of products and services with an immediacy that they have come to expect from other modern retailers. If they can’t get them they will take their business elsewhere,” said Bennetts. “This is an exciting period for the sector and a key time for CSPs to react if they want to stay ahead of the competition. I’m therefore delighted to be joining the Tribold team during this fantastic growth period.”
Simon Muderack, CEO of Tribold, said: “Steve brings key contacts and experience in the financial and telecommunications industries. This will stand us in good stead over the coming months as we experience one of the fastest periods of growth in the company’s history.”
A keen runner, Steve is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
