IDC Report - Tribold: A Pure Product Catalog

This IDC Flash provides insight into the value of enterprise product management software (a.k.a. a centralized product catalog). Today, there can be anywhere from hundreds to tens of thousands of products or service components (i.e., USOCs or SKUs) in a large service provider's "legacy" product catalog(s). Given the likelihood that this number will grow rapidly over time and that both internal and external user demands will apply greater pressure on CSPs for access and manipulation of that information, improved time to market, and creativity around new services and service mashups that leverage location, presence, context, content, and more, it is vitally important that CSPs have in place a robust, flexible, and simple-to-use enterprise product catalog.
